Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chopped cabbage
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

Beef it Up

In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.

Flavor Burst

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot, sautéing until the onion is tender.

Veggie Delight

Stir in the cabbage, carrots, and celery, cooking for about 5 minutes until just softened.

Soup Base

Pour in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and beef broth. Mix well to combine.

Rice Time

Sprinkle in the uncooked rice, followed by Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

Simmer Away

Bring everything to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 25-30 minutes, or until the rice is tender and flavors meld beautifully.

Garnish & Serve

Ladle the soup into bowls, top with freshly chopped parsley, and serve piping hot!
