Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.75 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 bag (30 oz) frozen tater tots
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Saddle up!

2. Cook the Beef

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with onions and garlic until the beef is cooked through. Drain excess fat. Yee-haw!

3. Combine Ingredients

Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, 1 cup cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix it all up until everything is combined and creamy.

4. Assemble the Base

Spread the beef mixture evenly in a casserole dish. Top with a single layer of those golden, crispy tater tots.

5. Add the Cheese Topping

Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top of the tater tots for that extra cheesy goodness.

6. Bake the Casserole

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the tater tots are golden and crunchy.

7. Garnish and Serve

Garnish with fresh parsley, if you’re feeling fancy. Round up your crew and dig in!
