Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crust

Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, mix together the crushed chocolate cookies and melted butter until well combined. Press this mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan.

Step 2: Bake the Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool while preparing the filling.

Step 3: Make the Filling

In a saucepan, combine heavy cream and sugar, heating over medium heat until the mixture is hot but not boiling. Remove from the heat and add chopped dark chocolate, stirring until completely melted and smooth.

Step 4: Add Eggs

Once the chocolate mixture is slightly cooled, whisk in the eggs until fully incorporated. Make sure not to add the eggs when the mixture is too hot to prevent them from scrambling.

Step 5: Pour Filling into Crust

Carefully pour the chocolate filling into the cooled crust. Spread it evenly with a spatula.
