Description
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Time to get churro-ready!
Step 2: Prepare the Dough
In a saucepan over medium heat, mix the water, sugar, salt, and vegetable oil. Bring this mixture to a boil, then take it off the heat.
Step 3: Combine Flour
Stir in the all-purpose flour until you have a smooth dough. Let it cool for a few minutes—safety first, churro chefs!
Step 4: Pipe the Churros
Spoon the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe your churros onto the prepared baking sheet in your favorite shapes and sizes.
Step 5: Bake
Bake the churros for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
Step 6: Prepare Coating
While your churros are baking, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
Step 7: Coat the Churros
Once the churros are out of the oven and slightly cooled, roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Coating time is the best time!
