Description

Get ready to wow your taste buds with this homemade Pizza Hut-inspired dough! Create a perfectly fluffy and slightly sweet crust for your pizza nights at home. Who needs takeout when you can DIY this deliciousness?

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet dry yeast (about 2¼ teaspoons)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water (110°F or 45°C)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

Step 1: Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Stir them together until evenly blended.

Step 2: Activate Yeast

Sprinkle 1 packet of dry yeast over 3/4 cup of warm water (110°F or 45°C) and allow it to sit for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture becomes frothy.

Step 3: Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Pour the frothy yeast mixture and 2 tablespoons of olive oil into the bowl containing the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly until a shaggy dough forms.

Step 4: Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic. Add more flour as needed to prevent sticking.

Step 5: Allow Dough to Rise

Place the kneaded dough into a greased bowl. Cover it with a clean kitchen towel and leave it in a warm area to rise until it has doubled in size, approximately 1 hour.

Step 6: Shape the Dough

After the dough has risen, punch it down to release any air bubbles. Roll it out on a floured surface to fit your pizza pan or stone.

Step 7: Add Toppings and Bake

Add your desired toppings on the rolled-out dough. Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
