This dish not only satisfies the palate but also elevates any dinner occasion with its gourmet flair. With just the right amount of creaminess combined with a kick of spice, this recipe promises a flavor explosion that will have everyone reaching for seconds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye steaks (approximately 1 inch thick)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Steak

Start by seasoning your steak generously on both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Allow it to rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

Step 2: Cook the Steak

In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Once hot, place the steak in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for about 10 minutes.

Step 3: Prepare the Cajun Shrimp Sauce

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add butter, minced garlic, and shrimp to the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turns pink.

Step 4: Add Cream and Cajun Seasoning

Pour in heavy cream and mix in the Cajun seasoning. Stir well and let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until it thickens. Optionally, add chopped parsley for garnish.

Step 5: Combine and Serve

Slice the steak and plate it. Spoon the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce over the top. Serve immediately and enjoy your meal.

Notes

Note 1: Steak Doneness

Use a meat thermometer to check the doneness of your steak. Aim for 130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium, and 150°F for medium-well.

Note 2: Cajun Seasoning

You can adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning based on your spice preference. Add more for extra heat or reduce it for a milder flavor.

Note 3: Shrimp Selection

Fresh shrimp is recommended for the best taste, but you can use frozen shrimp. Just make sure to thaw them properly before cooking.
