Ingredients
- 2 cups brewed green tea, cooled
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (optional)
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
- Slices of lemon or lime for garnish
- Ice cubes
Instructions
Begin by boiling water in a kettle. Once boiling, remove it from heat and add green tea bags or loose-leaf tea in a teapot. Use about 1 bag or 1 teaspoon of tea per cup of desired tea. Let the tea steep for 3 to 5 minutes based on your taste preference.
While the tea is still warm, add your preferred sweetener. You may choose honey, sugar, or agave syrup. Stir until fully dissolved.
Once sweetened, transfer the tea to a pitcher and allow it to cool to room temperature. After cooling, place the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to chill.
While the tea is chilling, prepare your choice of fruits like citrus (lemons, limes) or berries. Slice the fruits into small pieces or wedges for easy mixing.
Once the tea is chilled, remove it from the refrigerator. Add the prepared fruits to the pitcher and stir gently to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
Pour the tropical iced green tea into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with additional fruit slices if desired and enjoy refreshing.
